2013 and beyond: Faster, Cheaper, Accurate

2013 and beyond

Faster, Cheaper,  Accurate.

We would like to give you an update on the recent changes and improvement done during the current year.
Your satisfaction is at the top of our priorities. We listen to your feedback and focused this year on improving Feng-GUI at 3 key points: Faster, Cheaper and Accurate.

New Features

We've added several features to the Dashboard to make your user experience even better.

View all images - The bottom carousel is no longer showing only 20 recent images. You can navigate to older images by using the prev and next navigation links.

Delete an image - You can delete an image and multiple images by multi-selecting number of thumbnails using the CTRL key.

Profile Information - At "Account details" > "profile details" you can change password and also associate multiple emails with your account, in case you've forgot your password.

Web API for Developers

We decided to move from the old Reseller Agreement to an open API Agreement.
The API Agreement does not require any mutual signups of Feng-GUI and the Licensee.
The API Agreement has no minimum payments. You can use any of the regular credits packages.

Price

New Price and Plans credit packages. Starting from $25 for three months. Some good for small projects. other are best for bigger projects

Faster

Analysis Performance - The speed of Face, Text and Skin detection was improved. It takes less time to analyze your images and you can accomplish your tasks faster.

Text Detection - Added support for detecting characters written in ANY language.

Copy & Paste of AOIs
Instead of spending lots of time when re-creating the AOIs for every image from scratch, You can now Copy & Paste AOIs between images.

Reports

Gaze Plots - Increased the number of gaze plots from 16 points to 20 points. The duration between each point is 250ms-300ms, increasing to 20 points is making the report fully coverage a duration of 5 seconds.

Reports Gallery - The website contains a new reports gallery with eye-tracking comparison.

Case Studies

"Feng-GUI was able to provide similar results as eye-tracking and thus may significantly reduce website development cost and contribute to more efficient marketing communications. The analysis confirmed that Feng-GUI can digest management relevant outcomes for marketing managers and web designers who oversee and take decisions about the international portfolio of brand websites. Low Traffic? You Can Still Increase Your Conversion Rate

by Theresa Baiocco, Conversion Max at UserTesting.com
Make sure people see what you want them to see
If you have an ecommerce site, you want your product images and “Add to Cart” buttons to stand out. If you do lead gen, you want people to notice your form, phone number, or chat icons. Use an eye tracking tool like Attention Wizard or Feng-GUI, which predicts which elements on your page get the most visual attention. For example, the button on the UserTesting.com homepage gets the most attention, followed by the headline, video, and logo. Exactly what they were aiming for, I’m sure!

Designing for Culturally Diverse Audiences

Designing for Culturally Diverse Audiences: Can Automated Attention Analysis Substitute the Eye-Tracking in Website Development?
By Tomáš Kincl, Ph.D. Dept. of Exact Methods Faculty of Management
University of Economics, Prague

Developers use a variety of methods to evaluate user’s reactions to the website. Research in neuroscience and natural vision processing resulted in the development of automated methods which simulate human attention and are able to provide similar results to eye-tracking. However robust evidence is still missing.

Our aim was to determine whether cultural differences between websites can be deduced not only through demanding user testing (eye-tracing), but could be also diagnosed via automated attention analysis.

We utilized Feng-GUI to distinguish between six groups (each from different culture) of largest local and international beer companies. The websites were analyzed in terms of number of focal points and
their size.
Feng-GUI was able to provide similar results as eye-tracking and thus may significantly reduce website development cost and contribute to more efficient marketing communications.
The analysis confirmed that Feng-GUI can digest management relevant outcomes for marketing managers and web designers who oversee and take decisions about the international portfolio of brand websites.

3 Ways to Improve Conversions Using Eye-Tracking

by Hannah Kaufman at savvypanda.com

"I got a little freaked out when I realized that my eye went where the majority of others went too. I guess we aren't that different after all! "

As a marketer, it's important to study human browsing behavior. With the heat mapping technology, marketers can do just that.
In order to improve your conversion rates on your website, you have to look at where the viewer's eye is going, and determine if this is where you want their eye to go.

Clutter Fighter: Overcoming the Attention Bottleneck

Feng-GUI featured at Sign & Digital Graphics magazine.

These companies’ technologies may be applied to a whole range of visual products including signage, ads, websites, packaging, planograms and others. The systems identify elements in a design most likely to get attention in the first few seconds using algorithms that process such important visual cues as color, edges, faces, shape and contrast.

Why Usability Is The Most Important Aspect Of Designing A Site

Web designers allow themselves a lot of creative freedom when creating a website, but there are also guidelines which they follow and which should be respected if you want to create a successful project. Consider that if a designer would make a site which has an interesting concept, but is hard to navigate and difficult to understand, then the whole project is almost useless to the client.

Feng-GUI review at knolpad.com

Eye-tracking your visitors in real needs to have an hardware attached to their eyes, that tracks the eye movement as well as where the eyes look on a screen. The simulated algorithm Feng-gui offers is near accurate not needing a group of human eye balls to conclude a result on a heatmap.

Feng-GUI vs Usabilityhub by a Better User Experience

Welcome to the latest edition of ‘Feng-GUI vs…’! in this series we choose one homepage design and test it with the Feng-GUI attention tracking algorithm.
This week’s contender is usability hub, a website that offers three different services for the usability tester- 5 second test, navflow and clicktest. We’ve reviewed 5 fivesecondtest in the past and can recommend it with some reservations. The results are slightly suspect (see earlier post for the details) but the cost is right.
